Erosion Control Blankets (ECB) and Logs
Erosion control blankets (also called ECB) are generally made of coconut fibre, aspen fibre, straw, jute, or polypropylene, and are used to protect exposed ground areas from water and wind erosion.
Erosion control logs (also called ECL, and "wattle") are generally made from the same materials used to create erosion control blankets, though many proprietary variations exist. The logs are often used in conjunction with erosion control blankets to protect exposed slopes. Erosion control logs are often used also for storm drain drop inlet and curb inlet protection, and as check dams in channels.
Universal Fence Company offers installation and removal of erosion control blankets and logs.
